Camp Cookie started in 2023 when we rescued 14 goats & 4 sheep. At that point our sanctuary was just a self funded labor of love. At the end of 2024, as part of a decision Jameson Humane made  to create greater community impact thru its 8 existing programs, we partnered with them and adopted their horses. It was a natural transition as Dawn had been the Equine Manager at Jameson for more than 2 years. So then Camp Cookie was officially born as an official non-profit animal sanctuary.
